How do you get into Cambridge/Oxford?

Short answer: you just apply. Long answer: you become so good they can’t reject you. Here are the steps:

  1. Find the course you want to study. Oxfords list of courses. Cambridges list of courses. Do this at least a year before you intend on studying the course!

  2. Check the funding deadline.

  3. Find what you need (recommendation letters, transcript, CV etc.) and make sure everything is ready before the funding deadline.

  4. Submit your application! Before the funding deadline.

  5. (Extra) Look for external funding opportunities (google is your friend).

How did you find your field?

By studying different courses and finding what I like and didn’t like. Sometimes, the best a course/experience can give you is to know you don’t want to do it again! It takes time, especially in theoretical fields. I didn’t know my field existed until my last year of uni. Don’t worry!

How did you learn coding?

I started with Python and did a coding project with school last year of high school. I then looked at resources such as practicepython.org and kaggle.com.
