Eleonora Svanberg
mathematical physics, equality & everything in between
Eleonora Svanberg, born April 25th 1999, is a half-Swedish and half-Persian writer, speaker, founder, content creator, advocate and mathematical physics PhD student at the University of Oxford.
Svanberg’s purpose is to study quantum gravity, and to inspire the new generation to pursue STEM. The best of both worlds. In total she has over 350,000 followers on her social media (@eleonorasvanberg), inspiring the future generation to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). For her equality work, she received the Compass Rose Award by H.M the Swedish King in 2021.
Svanberg has been trusted to work with organisations like UNESCO, European Commission, European Space Agency, The Nobel Prize and the Royal Society.
Can one strengthen one's mathematical confidence? Absolutely!
Eleonora Svanberg discovered early on that she had a knack for solving math problems and would spend time working out difficult numbers and formulas in her room. But during her teenage years, she began to doubt her abilities more and more. Was there a chance for a young girl to become a part of the somewhat male-dominated universe of mathematics and physics? She started posting videos on Instagram to express her doubts and quickly became a source of inspiration for others. Today, Eleonora provides motivation, inspiration, and, not least, information about math and physics to hundreds of thousands of followers via social media.
In 'Study with Me', Eleonora talks about her journey from a young math nerd to a doctoral student at one of the world's most prestigious universities. Math and physics are among the coolest things you can do – no matter who you are.
